HRDC & claims
What is HRDC claimable training?
HRDC claimable training is structured learning that eligible Malaysian employers may claim under HRD Corp schemes, subject to current guidelines, documentation, attendance, and approval.
Are CXCons programs HRDC claimable?
Many CXCons programs are designed as HRDC claimable pathways. Final eligibility depends on employer status, scheme rules, attendance, and complete supporting documents. See also HRDCorp Hub.
What costs can be considered under HRDC claims?
Depending on the scheme and the current Allowable Cost Matrix (ACM), claimable items may include course fees and other approved cost components. Always verify against the latest HRD Corp guidelines.
Does CXCons help with HRDC claim documentation?
We support employers with program information and practical guidance so claims can be prepared more cleanly. Official approval remains with HRD Corp.
What is the difference between public and in-house HRDC training?
Public programs follow a published schedule with open seats. In-house programs are tailored for one organisation’s team, schedule, and objectives. Compare options on Programs.
Can in-house training still be HRDC claimable?
Yes, when requirements are met. Share your objectives and headcount so we can advise a suitable pathway. Start at Request custom programs.
What is the Allowable Cost Matrix (ACM)?
The ACM outlines cost categories and limits relevant to HRD Corp claims. CXCons helps employers interpret ACM implications for planning; it is not a substitute for official HRD Corp advice.
Do you provide guidance on common claim routes?
We help employers understand practical training and documentation steps related to common claim routes. Scheme names and rules can change — always check current HRD Corp circulars.
What documents are usually needed for smoother claims?
Typical items include attendance records, invoices, course outlines, and other evidence required by the chosen scheme. Exact requirements vary by case.
Programs & Program Finder
How many training modules does CXCons offer?
CXCons maintains a large training library covering leadership, HR and employment law, safety, quality/ISO, finance for non-finance, digital skills, sales, wellbeing, and more. Explore titles in Program Finder.
What is the Program Finder?

How do I request a brochure for a specific module?
Open Program Finder, search the module title, click Request brochure, and submit your details. Module pages also include a brochure button.
What is the difference between “Request brochure” and “Custom program”?
Request brochure is for details on an existing module. Custom / in-house is when you want a tailored design for your team, objectives, and schedule.
Can you customise an existing module?
Yes. Many clients start from a standard module and adjust focus, case examples, duration, or delivery style. Use Request custom programs.
Do you offer leadership and supervisory training?
Yes. Topics include effective leadership, supervisory skills, coaching conversations, and related people-management pathways.
Do you offer Employment Act and HR compliance training?
Yes. We support programs related to employment law awareness, domestic inquiry fundamentals, workplace conduct, and practical HR compliance themes for Malaysian workplaces. Related reading: Industry Pulse.
Do you offer safety, first aid, and OSH-related training?
Yes. Pathways include first aid/CPR awareness modules and other safety-related workplace learning, subject to program design and delivery requirements.
Do you offer Excel, digital skills, and AI-at-work training?
Yes. Options include practical Excel, productivity tools, and workplace AI skills designed for non-technical and operational teams.
Do you offer quality, ISO, and problem-solving training?
Yes. Common requests include ISO awareness/internal audit pathways, QC tools, and structured problem-solving modules for operations and quality teams.
Are soft skills programs available?
Yes. Communication, presentation, teamwork, conflict handling, customer service, and related behavioural skills are part of the library.

How often is the public schedule updated?
Schedules are updated as new runs are confirmed. If you need a topic not listed soon, request an in-house session or submit a brochure request.
Can individuals join public programs, or only companies?
Public seats are typically arranged through employers or nominated participants. Contact us with the program title and participant details for guidance.
What if the public date does not match our availability?
Choose an in-house run on your preferred dates, or ask us to advise the next suitable public option.
Team building & events
Does CXCons organise corporate team building in Malaysia?
Yes. We design corporate team building for collaboration, trust, communication, and performance outcomes, including indoor and outdoor formats. Start with Team Building Request or Team Building solutions.
What team building themes are available?
Themes can include corporate indoor challenges, outdoor adventure-style activities, resort-based days, waterpark formats, and custom hybrid designs based on goals and budget band.
How many participants can team building support?
We support small leadership groups through larger department cohorts. Share your headcount so venue and activity design stay practical.
Can team building be combined with learning modules?
Yes. Many organisations run a half-day workshop plus a half-day experiential segment, or a full-day blended design.
Do you help with venue arrangement?
Yes. We can support venue shortlisting and coordination for corporate bookings, including meeting hotels, activity venues, and hybrid event needs.
TNA (Training Needs Analysis)
What is a Training Needs Analysis (TNA)?
TNA is a structured way to identify skill gaps, priority areas, and a practical learning plan for a team or organisation.
Does CXCons offer a TNA tool?
Yes. CXCons provides a TNA pathway that helps employers flag priority areas and map them toward relevant program directions. Open Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
Who should complete the TNA?
HR, L&D, or line leaders who understand current performance gaps, business pressures, and near-term capability needs.
What do I get after completing a TNA?
A clearer priority view of development areas and suggested program directions you can explore further through Program Finder or a custom pathway discussion.
Coaching, certification & professional points
Do you offer coaching programs?
Yes. Coaching can be arranged as tailored 1-to-1 or group formats focused on role performance and development goals. See Coaching.
Do you support certification-oriented programs?
Yes. We support structured certification-style learning pathways where formal recognition and workplace application matter. See Certification.
Can you support CPE, CPD, or CIDB-related development needs?
Yes. We can guide suitable learning routes related to professional points and renewal-oriented development. See CPE, CPD & CIDB.
Delivery, language & location
Can training be delivered in-house at our office or venue?
Yes. In-house delivery is common and often preferred for confidentiality, relevance, and team scheduling.
Do you offer online or hybrid training?
Where suitable, programs can be designed for face-to-face, online, or hybrid delivery based on content type and client needs.
What languages can programs be delivered in?
Delivery language depends on the module and facilitator fit. Many corporate programs are delivered in English; bilingual options may be available on request.
How far in advance should we book?
For public seats, earlier is better. For in-house and team building, booking ahead helps secure facilitators, venues, and preferred dates.
Process & next steps
How do I get a proposal?
Send your company name, topic, preferred dates, headcount, and location via Contact, brochure request, custom program form, or team building request form.
How fast do you respond to enquiries?
We aim to respond during business hours as quickly as possible. Complete details (module, dates, pax, location) help us reply faster with a useful next step.
Do you publish all training prices on the website?
Not always. Pricing depends on format (public vs in-house), duration, facilitation, venue, and materials. Request a brochure or proposal for accurate figures.
Can training be arranged under company L&D budget cycles?
Yes. Many clients align programs to quarterly plans, HRDC claim cycles, and annual training calendars.
What makes CXCons different?
We combine a broad practical training library, HRDC-aware program design, team building and events capability, and tools like Program Finder and TNA to help employers move from need → plan → delivery.
HRDC approval, grants & rejections
Practical guidance for Malaysian employers. Official rules and decisions remain with HRD Corp. Always check the latest circulars and your employer portal status.
What is the difference between training registration and grant / claim approval?
Training registration is about the course and provider pathway. Grant or claim approval is about whether your employer submission meets HRD Corp scheme rules, documentation, and eligibility. A program can be claimable in design, yet a specific submission can still be queried or rejected if details are incomplete or non-compliant.
What is the typical HRDC claim flow for employers?
In practice, employers usually: confirm levy / eligibility → choose scheme pathway → select approved/registered training route → run the training with proper attendance records → submit claim documents within required timelines → respond to any clarification requests from HRD Corp. Exact steps depend on the scheme and current portal process.
What does “grant approval” usually depend on?
Common factors include employer eligibility, scheme fit, course and cost alignment with allowable items, complete supporting documents, valid attendance, and submission timing. Approval is not automatic just because a course is marketed as HRDC claimable.
How long does HRDC approval or claim processing take?
Timelines vary by scheme, volume, completeness of documents, and whether clarification is required. Incomplete submissions usually take longer. Build internal lead time into your training calendar instead of assuming same-week approval.
What documents are commonly requested for smoother approval?
Typical supporting items include course outline / brochure details, invoice, proof of payment where relevant, attendance records, participant details, and any scheme-specific forms. Keep filenames and records consistent with the registered training title and training dates.
Why do HRDC claims get rejected?
Common rejection or query triggers include incomplete documents, mismatched dates or participant lists, costs outside allowable categories, attendance below required thresholds, late submission, wrong scheme pathway, or unclear training scope. Many issues are preventable with a pre-submission checklist.
What are the most common documentation mistakes?
Mismatched program titles, missing attendance sheets, incomplete participant IC/details where required, invoice descriptions that do not match the training record, missing supporting attachments, and submitting after the allowed window are frequent causes of delay or rejection.
Can a claim be rejected if attendance is incomplete?
Yes. Attendance rules matter. If required minimum attendance is not met, claimable amounts may be reduced, queried, or rejected depending on scheme rules. Track attendance seriously on training day.
What if the invoice title and course title do not match?
Inconsistencies between quotation, invoice, attendance, and portal entries often trigger clarification. Keep the commercial title and training title aligned before documents are issued.
Can non-allowable costs cause partial rejection?
Yes. Even when training itself is eligible, some cost lines may fall outside the Allowable Cost Matrix or scheme limits. Separate clearly what is claimable versus company-borne.
What should employers do after a rejection or query?
Read the rejection or clarification reason carefully, fix the exact document or data gap, and resubmit or respond within the required process. Do not resubmit the same incomplete package. If needed, contact HRD Corp support channels for official clarification.
Can a rejected claim be appealed or resubmitted?
Depending on the case and current HRD Corp process, employers may be able to respond to queries, correct documents, or follow the official reconsideration pathway. Outcomes depend on the reason for rejection and whether the issue can be remedied with valid evidence.
Does using a registered provider guarantee approval?
No. A registered provider and claimable program design improve the pathway, but employer eligibility, documentation quality, attendance, cost allowability, and correct scheme use still determine the result.
What is the employer’s responsibility versus the training provider’s?
Providers deliver training and supply program information/supporting training records as agreed. Employers remain responsible for portal actions, eligibility checks, claim submission accuracy, and responding to HRD Corp on their account.
How can we reduce the risk of rejection before training starts?
Confirm scheme fit early, align program title and scope, lock dates and participant list, clarify which cost items are intended for claim, and prepare attendance control. A short internal pre-check saves more time than fixing a rejected file later.
How can we reduce rejection risk after training ends?
Compile attendance immediately, match invoice details to the training record, store all attachments in one folder, and submit within timeline. Avoid last-minute document rebuilds under deadline pressure.
What if participants change after the training is registered?
Participant changes can create mismatches between registered details, attendance, and claim records. Update internal records early and follow the official process for changes where the scheme requires it.
Can online or hybrid training be claimed?
In some cases yes, when the delivery mode and evidence meet current HRD Corp rules for online or hybrid learning. Requirements differ from pure face-to-face runs, so confirm mode eligibility before scheduling.
Are meals, venue, or travel always claimable?
Not always. Allowability depends on scheme rules and the current ACM categories/limits. Treat these as “check first” items rather than assumed claim lines.
What is a practical pre-submission checklist for employers?
Confirm: correct scheme pathway, matching program title, training dates, participant list, attendance evidence, invoice consistency, allowable cost lines, and submission deadline. If one item is unclear, resolve it before filing.
Can CXCons guarantee HRDC approval?
No provider can honestly guarantee approval. CXCons designs programs and supports practical documentation readiness, but final decisions rest with HRD Corp based on the employer’s submission and compliance.
How does CXCons support employers during the claim journey?
We help with clear program information, outlines, training delivery records as applicable, and practical guidance so your internal claim file is easier to assemble. Employers still submit and manage their own HRD Corp account actions.
Where should employers check official HRDC updates?
Use official HRD Corp channels, circulars, FAQs, and your employer portal notices. CXCons Industry Pulse and HRDCorp Hub content can help you stay aware, but official sources remain primary. See HRDCorp Hub and Industry Pulse.
What should we prepare before contacting CXCons about an HRDC claim issue?
Prepare the program title, training dates, scheme pathway used, rejection/query text if any, and which document was flagged. Specific details allow a faster, more useful response.
Who can officially confirm a claim decision?
Only HRD Corp can confirm official claim outcomes on an employer account. Training providers can support preparation and clarification of training records, but cannot override portal decisions.
What should be confirmed before applying for HRDC support?
Confirm employer eligibility, available levy or scheme access, intended training title, proposed dates, estimated headcount, delivery mode, and which cost items you plan to claim. Clearing these early reduces downstream rejection risk.
Is training approval the same as payment approval?
No. A training pathway can be accepted in principle, while reimbursement or grant disbursement still depends on correct claims documentation, verification, and final HRD Corp processing.
Can approval be delayed even when documents look complete?
Yes. Processing volume, system checks, random verification, or internal clarification queues can extend timelines. “Complete” from the employer side does not always mean immediate clearance.
What happens if HRD Corp asks for clarification?
Treat it as a formal request. Respond with the exact missing evidence, keep answers consistent with previously submitted data, and avoid uploading unrelated files that create new inconsistencies.
Can one wrong date cause a full claim rejection?
Date mismatches between registration, attendance, invoice, and claim forms are a frequent trigger for queries or rejection. Align every date field before submission.
What if the number of participants changes on training day?
Update attendance records accurately and ensure the claim reflects actual attendees. Claiming for no-shows or unrecorded participants creates high rejection risk.
Are replacement participants allowed after registration?
Sometimes replacements are operationally possible, but claim records must remain valid under scheme rules. If replacement is needed, document it clearly and follow the official update process where required.
Can a claim be rejected because the training scope is too vague?
Yes. Vague titles or outlines that do not show clear learning scope can raise questions. Use a clear program title, outcomes, and agenda that match what was actually delivered.
Does internal company training automatically qualify?
No. Internal sessions still need to meet scheme, documentation, and eligibility requirements. “We trained our staff” alone is not enough for approval.
Can soft skills training be rejected more often than technical training?
Not automatically. Rejection is usually driven by documentation, eligibility, and allowability — not by soft skills versus technical labels. Weak outlines or weak attendance control are bigger risks than topic type.
What if the trainer name on documents differs from the registered details?
Inconsistencies can trigger clarification. Keep trainer information consistent across proposal, delivery records, and claim attachments whenever that data is required.
Can split invoices increase rejection risk?
They can, if the split makes it hard to reconcile training fees versus non-training items. Where possible, keep claimable training fees clear and support non-claimable lines separately.
What if management wants to claim entertainment-style expenses as training?
That is a common risk area. Claim only items that fit scheme rules and allowable categories. Team bonding without structured learning design is not automatically training for claim purposes.
How should multi-day programs be documented for approval?
Keep day-by-day agenda clarity, daily attendance evidence, and consistent total duration records. Multi-day claims are stronger when each day is traceable.
Can a claim fail because submission was too early?
Timing errors in either direction can create problems. Submit according to the scheme’s required window after valid training completion and document readiness — not before evidence exists.
Can a claim fail because submission was too late?
Yes. Late filing is a frequent and avoidable rejection cause. Set an internal deadline earlier than the official cut-off so corrections are still possible.
What is “supporting document inconsistency”?
It means two or more files disagree — for example attendance says 18 pax, invoice implies 20, and portal entry shows different dates. HRD Corp systems and officers look for consistency across the file set.
Should we submit extra documents “just in case”?
Submit what is required and relevant. Random extra files can introduce contradictions. A clean, complete package is better than a large messy one.
What if finance and HR use different program names internally?
Align one official training title for quotation, invoice, attendance, and claim entry. Internal nickname differences are a hidden source of rejection.
Can branch or subsidiary participants be claimed under one employer account?
Only when account structure and eligibility rules allow it. Do not assume group-company staff can always be claimed under one entity without checking employer registration and scheme conditions.
What if a participant’s name spelling differs across IC and attendance?
Use official identification spelling consistently. Small spelling differences can create verification friction.
Does payment proof always need to be included?
Where the scheme or case requires proof of payment, missing it can block progress. Follow the document list for your specific pathway rather than guessing.
Can approval be affected by previous incomplete claims?
Operationally, unresolved issues, repeated weak submissions, or account queries can slow future processing. Clean up outstanding clarification items before filing new claims.
What is the safest internal process before clicking submit?
Have one HR owner and one finance checker review the same packet: title, dates, pax, attendance, invoice lines, and attachments. Dual review catches most preventable rejections.
Can CXCons submit the claim on behalf of the employer?
Employers remain accountable for their HRD Corp account actions. CXCons can support training records and practical file readiness; portal submission authority stays with the employer unless an official authorised arrangement exists under current rules.
What should we do if portal status stays pending for a long time?
First recheck whether any clarification request was issued. If none, follow official HRD Corp support channels with your reference details. Keep your internal document set ready for quick response.
Can a partially approved claim still be useful?
Yes. Sometimes only certain cost lines are accepted. Record what was approved, adjust future budgeting, and avoid repeating non-allowable lines in later submissions.
How do public program claims differ from in-house claims in practice?
Public runs often follow fixed schedules and shared class administration, while in-house runs need tighter control of custom titles, attendance, and internal cost allocation. Both still require accurate employer-side filing.
What if our management expects 100% claim recovery every time?
Set expectations early: claim outcomes depend on rules, evidence, and allowability. Plan training for capability first, with claim recovery as a structured benefit — not an automatic rebate.
What is the best first message to send CXCons when a claim is rejected?
Send: company name, program title, training dates, scheme used, rejection/query text, and which document was flagged. Specific information allows practical next-step guidance much faster than a generic “claim rejected” message.
What should be confirmed before applying for HRDC support?
Confirm employer eligibility, available levy or scheme access, intended training title, proposed dates, estimated headcount, delivery mode, and which cost items you plan to claim. Clearing these early reduces downstream rejection risk.

HCC grant application (eTRiS)
Practical employer guidance based on HRD Corp’s Grant Application Helper for the HRD Corp Claimable Courses pathway. Always follow the latest eTRiS screens and official circulars.
What is an HCC grant application?
An HCC grant application is the employer submission in eTRiS under the HRD Corp Claimable Courses pathway, used to apply for grant support before training is run under the scheme rules.
In the grant application, is “Training Location” the venue or the training provider’s address?
Training Location refers to where the training will be conducted — the actual venue or premise (for example own premise, HQ, branch, or other training venue address). It is not the training provider’s registered office address. The provider’s details are entered separately under the Training Provider step.
Do I fill Training Provider details or Programme details first?
Follow the eTRiS tab order. Usually you complete Employer Profile, then select the registered Training Provider, then Programme Details. Skipping ahead often causes missing-field errors later.
What if I cannot find my training provider in the search list?
Confirm you are searching the correct registered provider name/ID and that the provider is active for the scheme. If still not found, contact the provider for their exact registered eTRiS name before forcing a manual workaround.
Is “Course Title” the brochure title or the exact registered programme title?
Use the programme title as listed/selected in eTRiS for that provider pathway. Keep quotation, attendance, and attachments consistent with the same title to avoid later mismatch queries.
What should I write under Relevance of Training if HR is unsure?
Write a practical job-linked reason: which role is attending, what skill gap exists, and how the training supports current duties or career development. Avoid generic lines like “for staff improvement only.”
Is “Type of Training” based on where staff work or where class is held?
Select the actual delivery mode of the programme run (in-house, public, or e-learning as applicable). This should match the real training arrangement, not the employee’s usual workstation only.
Do Start Date and End Date mean application dates or training dates?
They refer to the training programme schedule dates. Enter the actual planned training start and end dates, then make sure quotation and attendance later follow the same dates.
How do I calculate total hours and full days / half days correctly?
Use the actual structured training hours in the timetable. Full-day and half-day counts should reflect the programme design shown in eTRiS notes (for example full-day and half-day definitions displayed on screen). Do not invent hours that the agenda cannot support.
If training is at a hotel ballroom, what do I select for Training Location?
Enter the actual venue details for where training will be held. Use the full venue address and correct state. This is still Training Location (delivery place), not the provider office address.
What does HQ/Branch mean in trainee details?
It refers to the trainee’s employer location/branch under your company profile. If the branch is missing, update the employer profile first, then return to trainee entry.
What is “Distance to Training Location” used for?
It captures how far the trainee is from the training venue (for example less than 70 km or 70 km and above). This can affect allowance-related fields where applicable, so choose based on actual travel distance.
Should I add all participants before or after estimated cost?
Complete the trainee list first. Cost calculations often depend on participant count and duration, so finalising headcount first reduces rework in the estimated cost step.
In Estimated Cost, do I key the full quotation amount in every line?
No. Enter amounts by allowable item lines as shown (course fee, relevant allowances, etc.). Only claimable lines that fit the scheme display should be filled; do not dump one lump sum into every row.
Why is Grant Balance / Levy Balance shown before I apply?
eTRiS shows your employer account balances for reference while applying. Available balance does not automatically mean every applied amount will be approved; documentation and scheme rules still apply.
Can I save and continue later, or must I finish in one sitting?
Use Save where available and return before final Submit Application. After submission, changes are harder and usually depend on officer query or modification pathways.
What is the difference between Save and Submit Application?
Save keeps progress. Submit Application sends the grant request for evaluation. Only submit when attachments, trainee list, dates, and costs are consistent.
Who should be selected as Immediate Officer / designated officer?
Select the appropriate internal officer authorised in your company process for the application/declaration flow. Use correct name and contact details; this is an employer-side responsibility.
Must supporting documents be PDF only?
PDF is preferred. eTRiS may allow other formats, but PDF is usually safest for quotation, course content, timetable, and trainer CV attachments.
I attached the quotation — do I still need course content and trainer CV?
Yes, where the checklist requires them. Quotation alone is usually not enough. Attach the complete required set: fee information, course content/timetable, trainer profile/CV, and any other requested files.
What if participant list is not final when applying for grant?
Apply with the best confirmed list possible. Large last-minute changes can create mismatches with approved details. If replacements happen, keep internal records clean and follow official update/query processes.
Can one grant application cover multiple different courses?
Treat each training programme run according to the scheme/application structure in eTRiS. Do not combine unrelated courses into one unclear application. Separate programmes keep evaluation cleaner.
After submission, where do I check status?
Check the employer eTRiS screen and also email/inbox notifications. Officers may query for more information before approval.
If approved, when can we actually run the class?
Only after approval and after observing the required advance period for in-house or public training under current rules. Also ensure commencement stays within the allowed window from that advance-approval requirement.
Where do employers apply for an HCC grant?
Through the employer eTRiS account: log in → Application → Grant → Apply Grant → Apply, then select the relevant Claimable Courses scheme pathway shown in the system.
What is the basic eTRiS path to start a grant application?
Typical flow: Employer login → Application → Grant → Apply Grant → Apply → choose scheme code → complete employer profile, training provider, programme details, training details, certification level, trainees, estimated cost, declaration, attachments → Submit Application.
How soon can in-house training start after grant approval?
Under the helper guidance, in-house training programmes can be conducted 14 days after grant approval. The approved programme must also commence within 90 calendar days after completion of that advance-approval requirement.
How soon can public training start after grant approval?
For the period stated in the helper (15 June to 31 December 2026), public training may be conducted three (3) days after grant approval, and must commence within 90 calendar days after that 3-day requirement. From 1 January 2027, the helper states public training returns to the 14-day rule, aligning with in-house.
What does the 90-calendar-day commencement rule mean?
After meeting the required advance period from approval, the approved training should start within 90 calendar days. Plan dates carefully so approval timing and actual commencement stay aligned.
What supporting documents are required for HCC grant application?
Employers must submit supporting documents such as invoice/quotation, trainer profile, and schedule/course content. The helper also points to course fee quotation information, course content / time table, trainer CV, and other attachments where relevant.
What attachments are commonly listed in the application checklist?
Common checklist items include course fee quotation/information, course content (CC) / time table, trainer’s CV, and other supporting files required by the case (for example consumable materials or hotel quotation where applicable). Preferred format is typically PDF.
Do I need to select a registered training provider in eTRiS?
Yes. The application flow requires selecting the registered Training Provider details before continuing to programme and training details.
What programme details are important in the grant form?
Employers select the training programme and complete required fields such as course title, description, relevance of training, type of retraining/skills upgrading, training mode, dates, hours, and related programme structure fields shown in eTRiS.
What should “Relevance of Training” explain?
Explain why participants should attend and how the training relates to their job responsibilities or career development. Vague relevance text weakens the application quality.
What should the training description / objective cover?
Explain the background and objective of the training clearly. Officers evaluate whether the programme purpose is coherent with the selected course and trainee roles.
Do I need to add trainer details in the application?
Yes. The flow includes selecting/adding trainer information from the training provider side and completing required trainer fields before moving on.
What training location details are required?
Employers key in training location details such as whether training is on premise/HQ/branch, full address, state, and travel-day information where applicable.
What is the Level of Certification step?
Employers select the certification level appropriate to the programme (for example Certificate of Attendance) and indicate whether practical/hands-on (TVET) applies, as shown in the form.
How are trainees added in the grant application?
Under Summary of Trainees, create a batch (Add Batch → Save), then Add/Edit Trainee Details and enter required participant fields. Add more participants as needed, then save and continue.
What trainee information is typically required?
Common fields include IC number, name, gender, race, academic qualification, designation, HQ/branch, and distance to training location. Keep spellings consistent with official records.
Can trainee details be entered by Excel as well as manually?
The helper interface shows data entry modes such as Manual or Excel. Use the mode available in your current eTRiS screen and validate the list before submission.
What cost details are entered in the grant application?
Under Estimated Cost for Training Scheme, employers enter allowable items such as course fee and relevant allowance lines (where applicable), with unit, duration, and requested amounts according to the scheme display.
Why must cost entries match the quotation?
Cost figures, participant counts, and training duration should reconcile with quotation/invoice and programme details. Mismatches are a common reason for queries during evaluation.
What is the Acknowledgement & Declaration step?
Employers must tick the declaration confirming the application information is true and complete, then select/enter the designated officer details before attaching documents and submitting.
What happens after Submit Application?
Once submitted successfully, the Grant Officer evaluates the request and may query for additional information. Application status is updated on the employer screen and notified via email and inbox.
What should we do if the Grant Officer queries the application?
Respond with the exact missing or corrected documents, keep all fields consistent, and avoid uploading conflicting files. Check both email and eTRiS inbox for official query notes.
Can training start before grant approval?
The helper is built around applying and obtaining approval first, then observing the required advance period before commencement. Starting too early relative to approval rules creates compliance risk.
Why do grant applications get queried even when “everything is attached”?
Common causes include unclear training relevance, weak objectives, incomplete trainee data, mismatched dates, cost figures that do not reconcile, missing trainer profile details, or attachments that do not match form entries.
What is a practical pre-submit checklist for HCC grant applications?
Confirm: correct scheme pathway, registered provider selected, programme title and relevance text, trainer details, location, trainee list completeness, cost reconciliation with quotation, declaration ticked, and required PDFs attached — then submit.
How can CXCons support employers during HCC grant preparation?
CXCons can support with clear programme information, schedules/course content, trainer profile materials as applicable, and quotation details so your eTRiS package is easier to complete. Portal submission and final grant decisions remain with the employer and HRD Corp.
Where should employers verify the latest official HCC grant rules?
Use official HRD Corp sources, current circulars, and the live eTRiS interface. Helper documents are useful guides, but system labels and rules can be updated. See also HRDCorp Hub.
