Outdoor Team Building: Safety First Design
Energy is valuable. Uncontrolled risk is not culture — it is negligence.
Safety is part of experience quality
Clients remember injuries longer than they remember a photo wall. Screening, briefings, and stop authority protect people and the employer.
Non-negotiables
- Health screening questions before high-intensity activities
- Weather postponement / modification rule agreed in advance
- Trained first aid coverage proportionate to activity risk
- Difficulty levels communicated early (including opt-down options)
- Facilitator stop authority that leadership will back
Brief participants like adults
Explain risks, hydration, footwear, and how to signal stop. Inclusion means offering roles with lower physical load — not pressuring everyone into the same intensity.
